Bar/Bri - Day 1

So far, so good.

I think the iPod method is going to work out really well for me. After a few initial minutes of confusion/panic because the leased iPod nano is different from my normal 20 GB one, I was able to listen to the lecture from the comfort of my living room.

I'd walked Lil Q to school this morning, only to get there and find I'd forgotten to put shoes on her. That's a new one for me. I've forgotten diaper bags, contents of diaper bags (like changes of clothes - very important in the early stages of potty training), blankets, breakfast, etc, but never shoes. Until now. She'd climbed into the stroller on her own, so I just didn't notice she wasn't wearing shoes.

A great start to the day - then on the walk home, I discovered (so I thought) that there was something wrong with the iPod. But after dropping shoes off at daycare, I stopped at Starbucks, got myself a mocha, and magically figured out how to make the iPod work. (I read the instructions.)

Of course, this was just the Introductory day, so it could get a lot worse. If it does, I'm sure you'll hear about it.

In the meantime, I'm off to buy some notecards. I've got 21 subjects to master in the next 9 weeks.

Comments:
So you're listening to all the Bar/Bri lectures on a leased iPod nano? I didn't know you could do that. Does it depend on where you live?

CM -

I think all the areas offer the home study method. It's usually a little extra. I was a Bar/Bri rep though, so it's quite a bit less painful (moneywise at least) for me, since I didn't have to come up with the regular tuition in addition.

My state was, I think, the first to do iPod, but I know DC, VA, and MD do it now too. In fact, those states now make it an option to lease an iPod at the end of normal bar review just in case you want to listen to any of the lectures again. I'm almost positive that NY and CA offer it now too.

Yeah - 21 subjects - including PR. BUT all essay, no MBE. If that doesn't give you some serious hints as to where I'm taking the bar, I don't know what would.

Good luck and may the force be with you. Yeah 21 or so potential subjects sounds about right for any bar if you think about it.
